The client is an insurance man, Andrew Ahmed, and he's got a problem he doesn't like the shape of. A crypto consultancy founder went off a Bankside rooftop the morning after her own launch party, and the policy on her life is bigger than the company ever was. Ahmed wants it to be a fall. The numbers keep telling him otherwise. We start pulling the guest list, the drink tabs, the coat check stubs, and every version of that night sounds like a different party. Somewhere in the mess is a partner who needed the books to stop being read, and a beneficiary clause that should have expired a year before it mattered. Nobody at that launch remembers the same thing twice. We're paid to make them.
